Andrée Peart Laney is an employment counselor and litigator with nearly twenty years of experience handling employment law issues, having represented both employees and management in disputes before administrative agencies (including state and federal EEO agencies and the Department of Labor), federal courts, and in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Ms. Laney specializes in counseling businesses on discrimination complaints and whistleblower claims, wage and hour issues, noncompetes, employee discipline, corporate handbooks and policies, terminations and reductions-in-force, family and medical leaves, disability accommodations, post-merger integrations, regulatory compliance, and federal EEO regulations. Ms. Laney also prepares and reviews employment policies and employee handbooks, negotiates and drafts employment and separation agreements, conducts internal investigations of workplace issues and training for corporate employees and management. Ms. Laney has made presentations on employment discrimination laws at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Practicing Lawyers' Institute, and the National Employment Law Association.
