Suzanne M. Cerra has devoted her legal career to representing and counseling private and public sector employers in all aspects of employment law. She has extensive experience providing compliance counseling to her clients regarding all state and federal employment laws and assisting clients with issues relating to employment discrimination, harassment, leaves of absence, wrongful discharge, wage and hour laws, restrictive covenants and unfair competition. Because her primary focus is helping her clients avoid litigation, Ms. Cerra devotes a large portion of her practice to preventative counseling, designing effective personnel policies, auditing employment practices, and conducting on-site training programs on legal issues affecting the workplace. Ms. Cerra also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations into claims of unlawful harassment and other employment related claims. Prior to starting her own practice in 2003, which focused on preventative techniques to avoid litigation, Ms. Cerra was a named partner with the law firm of Stanton, Hughes, Diana, Cerra, Mariani & Margello, P.C. in Morristown, New Jersey, where she litigated employment law cases in both state and federal courts for over ten years. |
